With the array of distractions we have at our disposal these days, it's easy not to pay attention when we really need to. Everyone has their moments of forgetfulness, and makes the occasional mistake when interacting with others. However, sometimes things get a little more complicated than simply mixing up thank you and goodbye.
For @markperfs, this recently went as far as leaving him stuck in his car for an hour and a half — all because he didn't remember to leave it in time for the mechanic to perform a tyre change. While the vehicle was suspended in mid-air, he shared a video of his predicament that received more than eight million views.
Later on, he posted a follow up explaining how he got there, claiming that when the mechanic explained he had to leave the vehicle for the service he "spaced out" and realized that the car was being raised by the time we went to gather his belongings. Commenters were still baffled at how he had managed to find himself in that situation, but he confirmed that neither himself nor the mechanic involved were harmed after his absentminded exploits. At the same time, it's left him with a story that will not have him returning to the garage in a hurry.
