DoorDash Driver Baffled After Being Asked To Fulfil Order Over 700 Miles Away

It's always annoying to have a major food craving that is difficult to satisfy. Stoners, pregnant women and hangry eaters can all testify to the lengths we can go to just to find the thing our taste buds so desperately need. That said, even the most gluttonous of eaters has to admit that there are limits to how far we should go to fulfil our desires.

This apparently wasn't the case for one DoorDash customer in Rhode Island, who has now become infamous after their would-be driver @kaelumgrantt blasted them on TikTok for placing an order at a restaurant over 741 miles away from them. In the video, Ohio-based Kaelum highlights the distance with a screenshot and jokingly tells the orderer to "put some rice on the stove".

As if the length of the journey wasn't enough, the food itself came up to a not-so-grand total of $9.25 — making the whole thing seem even more ludicrous.

For once, viewers were unified in their horror at the audacious attempt and confused as to how a request so ridiculous had been processed by the system. It certainly raises some questions about the efficiency of the DoorDash software, as well as the lengths they expect their drivers to go to.
