Everybody thinks they'll never fall for it, but the threat is always there: there's no denying online scamming is a booming business. While most emails containing claims of webcam hacks or Nigerian princes easily fall into the junk folder, there's always the occasional scheme that gets past the filters. Provided you don't fall for them, they can make entertaining reading.
This was the case for @kmunroutrgv, who was so impressed by a message from a woman apparently called Khalifa that she shared it on Twitter. The email claimed that Khalifa was a "top assassin" who had been paid to kill her, but she was hesitating because of something "strange" about her target. She then signs off by saying that she is awaiting a reply.
While her potential bounty giver remained unconvinced with the argument, the story won its fair share of fans. Many commended the thrilling and unique storyline, although some claimed that they had seen more amusing examples in the past. Although Khalifa may not have got what she came for, there's no denying that she has a knack for imaginative storytelling.
