Retail Workers Debunk TikToker's Grocery Store Conspiracy Theory

It's true that supply chain issues in the United States have been causing anxiety - and inflation is leaving people wondering if they can afford milk or gas. But some conspiratorial individuals are using this opportunity to fear monger or simply to receive attention on social media networks such a TikTok

That definitely goes for TikToker @thepropheticwarrior who shared this ominous video from a local Target. In the clip, @thepropheticwarrior pulls back packages of sugar from shelves, revealing a large space behind the rows of the pantry staple. This is what she refers to as a "scam." Even though there is clearly tons of product on the huge shelves (it's Target), this fear-mongerer insists "there's nothing behind any of this," even revealing more product as she decries the absence. It's absolutely ridiculous.

There's no denying that we're in for some tough times, and it's normal to want to be prepared. But this is another level of paranoia and outrage. On Twitter, former retails workers were quick to point out that the only scam she's revealing is the common stocking practice of 'facing.' Its purpose? To make the shelves look neater and more organized. But go off, doomsday prepper.
