There are plenty of things in this world that we can find funny, but the kind of comedy that tickles everyone is a hard thing to come by. Dark humor is an acquired taste, some people can't get past the corniness of puns and unbelievably, there are plenty of people out there who are too prudish for fart jokes. What some find to be peak hilarity might make others recoil in horror, so anything that gets the precious, crowd pleasing balance right deserves its moment in the spotlight.
A strong contender for this award has to be the humble googly eye. Inoffensive but ridiculous, sticking them on just about anything can be enough to raise a laugh from even the most uptight of individuals. At least, that seems to be the logic behind somebody at @thegallowboob's local Starbucks drive thru, where every item on the menu now ogles every customer waiting in line.
The amusing discovery seemed to open the floodgates of googly eye supremacy, with countless Twitter users replying to the picture with examples of their own adventures in giving random objects the gift of sight. It makes for very funny viewing and shows us that sometimes, it's best to keep the jokes simple (and kind of manic-looking).
