Anyone unfortunate enough to be single and looking for someone in the age of social media knows that dating apps are a plague on mankind. For every half decent person that you have a chance of getting along with, there are ten times as many weirdos ready to waste your time in the most annoying ways possible. Every single stage of getting to know someone seems to come with a booby trap. No matter how much banter you share in the talking stage, it can still lead to an excruciating date in person.
Rarely, though, do these unfortunate events match up to the experience of @elysemyers, who has recently gone viral for sharing an eventful anecdote of the worst first date she ever had. The story starts innocuously enough, with a man she had been talking to on Tinder suggesting that they go get food together. However, things start getting weird when he asks her to drive to his house, so she can follow him to the restaurant. He then claims to have lost his car keys. The rest of the story only gets stranger from there, involving family members, food service workers and most importantly, massive quantities of tacos.
Viewers were so perplexed by the tale that Elyse had to provide two follow up videos just to answer all their questions on her nightmare mystery man.
