Moose Wreaks Havoc By Breaking Into Saskatoon School

It's fair to say that most schools aren't exactly wildlife havens. When it comes to your average suburban class, the most nature you're likely to see is the occasional summertime wasp. Anyone who's seen the disruption that one tiny insect brings to easily distracted kids knows that the great outdoors doesn't mix well with mainstream education — but that's a drop in the ocean compared to having an 800 pound mammal crash through your classroom.

While it may sound fantastical, that's exactly what happened in Sylvia Fedoruk School in Saskatoon. According to @patdubois, a moose found itself on campus yesterday morning, throwing the idea of learning right out the window it smashed through. The unusual event made for a surreal photo op that tickled the people of Twitter.

Although the moose sustained a slight injury from the broken glass, no people were hurt and it has since been safely released by conservation officers. While it might not be an ideal situation, there's no denying it's a great story for students to tell in the future. File under "Things that could only happen in Canada".
