Guy Claims That 'NineEleven' Happened In The '90s, Gets Owned In Facebook Comments

It can be frustrating arguing with stupid people, especially when they're also incredibly stubborn, but at some point you just have to give up and start trolling, or just roll with the insanity. When someone named Alice posted on Facebook asking people about the top three things they associate with the '90s, a dude named Michael chimed in to say that "NineEleven" was indisputably the most significant event of the decade. Needless to say, the other people in the comments section were confused.

Text - Michael Am enjoying reading all your top 3s in this thread but, as a history buff, I think the one thing you're all overlooking from the 90s is NineEleven? Hugely significant event that should never be forgotten, imo A Like Reply 50 m

Text - Dave Don't try to spin what I said dickwit. I'm not saying it should be forgotten, I'm saying it didn't happen in the 90s which is what the queston asked and a "history buff" should know that. Like Reply 32 m

Text - Michael I respect those of you who say it happened in 2001. That's your recollection and that's fine but I would ask that you show me the same respect by not disputing my recollection of it happening in the late 90s. Like Reply 16 m

Text - Jennie Michael Let me try to break it down for you. The 1990s happened from January 1st 1990 to December 31st 1999. 9/11 did not happen in that time period. Therefore it did not happen in the 1990s regardless of when you *think* it happened. Like Reply 11 m

Text - Michael | I know but NineEleven? is a game my uncle and I used to play in the 90s that's totally unrelated to 9/11. He'd pour either nine or eleven M&Ms into my mouth and l'd have 3 seconds to guess whether it was nine M&Ms or eleven M&Ms. It's tricker than it sounds. Very significant event in my childhood. We still play it every Christmas
