Influencer Causes Outrage By Posing On Holocaust Memorial

Even in a day and age where most of us are nursing screen addictions, most of us can agree that there is a time and a place for a social media photo op. Sometimes, we experience things that shouldn't be commemorated by asking someone to get our best side.

Unfortunately, though, not everybody sees it that way. This has recently been proved by a video taken at the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in Berlin, which was posted by @influencersinthewild. The footage shows a woman sitting on top of one of the 2,711 concrete slabs that make up the memorial as she strikes poses for a man who is photographing her with his camera.

Although some people defended the pair by claiming there were no specific rules surrounding how to behave at the monument, most were incensed by the disrespectful display. Viewers were not happy with the area being used as a backdrop for the anonymous woman's vanity, with many slamming both people for disrespecting the memory of those it represented. Considering what the area stands for, it would probably have been a good idea to think beyond what they wanted to caption the photos.
